Overarching literary patterns that govern the content of the Book of Isaiah reveal many layers of imbedded divine truths not apparent from a surface reading of this prophecy. Such structuring is evidence of the work of a single author—Isaiah—who saw the end from the beginning. While several of these literary structures are adaptations of ancient Near Eastern literary patterns, others, such as Isaiah’s Seven-Part Synchronous Structure, are original to Isaiah himself.
